Barça want to add different profiles to their midfield options
Barcelona are planning for next season and one of the objectives to strengthen Xavi Hernandez's side is Milan midfielder Franck Kessie.
The Ivory Coast international is out of contract in the summer and is free to talk to other clubs. Barça have been working on a deal for months and, according to Di Marzio, have increased their offer in recent weeks. The latest proposal is around 6.5 million euros annually and Kessie is leaning towards a move to Camp Nou.
Barça don't want to take any risks and hope to close an agreement soon. Kessie's profile is considered different to the other midfielders at the club and his arrival would increase Xavi Hernandez's options. Barça want to fight for everything next season.
In addition to Kessie, Barça are also working on rather free transfers this summer, including Chelsea defensive duo Christensen and Azpilicueta.
