The Spain international's value has soared since the start of the year

Constant reevaluations. The value of Pedri has not stopped increasing since he signed for Barcelona. In October 2020, he was worth 15 million euros and now he's worth 80 million, according to the website Transfermarkt. That's the same value as Paris Saint-Germain's Lionel Messi, who was rated at 180 million in 2018.

Pedri's value has increased by 166.7% since Jan. 1, 2021. That's more than players of the stature of Jude Bellingham (103.7%). Mason Mount (66.7%), Marcos Llorente (77.8%) and, even, Erling Haaland (30%).

That pricing makes him the 16th most expensive player in the world in the latest rankings. He's the second Barcelona player on the list, following Frenkie de Jong, who places ninth with a value of 90 million euros.

No Madrid player in the Top 30

Zooming out further, there are two more LaLigap layers to be found, both playing for Atletico Madrid: Joao Felix and Marcos Llorente, 17th and 20th respectively, both with a value close to Pedri's 80 million.

The next player from the Spanish league is Real Sociedad forward Mikel Oyarzabal, who's valued at 70 million, making him 30th on the list. To find the first Real Madrid player on the list, you have to go down to 39th, where Casemiro sits valued at 70 million. The next on the list is Fede Valverde (65 million), who's valued at 5 million more than Barça's Ansu Fati.
