Barcelona midfielder Andres Iniesta's recovery still going to plan

Iniesta sigue con su proceso de recuperación

Se espera que esté disonible para el clásico

Barcelona player Andres Iniesta is advancing well every day from the knee injury he sustained in a challenge from Valencia's Enzo Perez in October.

The club captain had to be taken off for Rakitic and left Mestalla on a stretcher in tears. It was a shock for Barça because it's not usual to see Iniesta like that. He was ruled out for six to eight weeks by the club with ligament damage.

However, after having the knee brace taken off earlier this month and beginning to run again last week, Iniesta's recovery is still going well.

"Every day with better sensations and advancing, we continue!" he wrote on social media, accompanied with a picture of him playing with the ball.

It leads to hope for Barça fans who want to see the midfielder in the game against Real Madrid on Dec. 3. That's the date when he hopes to return to action.

Luis Enrique has said the recovery is ahead of schedule, but said the club would not rush him back just for the sake of the Clasico. All in good time.
