The Frenchman is available on a free in the summer

Evan N'Dicka could be Barcelona's big signing for the centre of defence for next season. According to 'SPORT1' in Germany, Barça have reached a verbal agreement with the French centre-back to sign him on 1 July, when his contract expires with Eintracht Frankfurt.

N'Dicka has no plans to renew with the Bundesliga side and Barça already have the player's 'yes'. However, now the operation is subject to the club's decision to go ahead with the signing. As the German newspaper reports, that decision will be taken in March, when the player has just three months left on his contract.

The 23-year-old French centre-back has impressed at Frankfurt and has the profile that Barça are looking for: a left-sided centre-back, cheap, young and with good ball control. In addition, he is a player who is used to playing both on the left side of a three-man defence and in a back four.

It is not the first time that N'Dicka's name has been mentioned as a potential reinforcement for the Catalan giants. He has been performing at a high level in Germany for several seasons and is determined to try his luck at a big club. His free agent status as of July makes him one of the bargains of the upcoming summer transfer window.
