Barcelona are interested in the midfielder who is unhappy at PSG and is looking to switch clubs this summer

PSG's French midfielder, Adrien Rabiot, has become the latest man linked with Barcelona this week. Rabiot is unhappy at PSG and the French champions are open to letting the midfielder leave. Barcelona could be his next destination.

Rabiot, who only has a year left on his deal with PSG, wants a wage increase so he's on the same pay scale as his teammate Marco Verratti, who earns around €150,000 per week. At PSG they're unhappy with the player after he refused to join up with the national team ahead of the World Cup. While they are willing to offer him a new deal it isn't anywhere near the sums he is asking for.

From there, Rabiot's representatives have contacted various clubs and one of them is Barcelona. According to 'France Football' this Tuesday morning, Rabiot's mother and agent, Veronique Rabiot has spoken with Eric Abidal. The new director of football at Barcelona sees the player as someone who fits the profile the club are looking for but that he isn't a priority at the moment. However Barça are willing to consider an offer if it's to their benefit.

Barcelona aren't the only side interested in Rabiot though. Juventus are keeping tabs on the player's situation and could use Alex Sandro as part of any deal. Napoli are interested too and so could Tottenham should they sell Mousa Dembele.

Some believe this is just a ploy by Rabiot's mother to get her son a better deal at PSG.
