Barcelona forward Lionel Messi's 36 'victims' in La Liga

Leo Messi writes history in every league game. The Barcelona star's the top scorer in the competition's history and has now scored against 36 sides in total.

The most recent of them being Giona, who he scored a brace against on Saturday, taking over Raul (Real Madrid) and Aduriz (Athletic), who have scored against 35 sides. 

It doesn't matter who Messi plays against. The Argentine doesn't make a distinction between rivals. It doesn't matter how the goals come, either. 

Messi. who has shown himself to be from another planet since his explosion in La Liga, has a preferred 'victim' in Sevilla. He has scored 23 goals in 22 games against them. 

Atletico Madrid are close behind (22 goals), followed by Osasuna and Valencia (21 goals).

Only three teams have kept Messi out in the league: Cádiz (one game), Murcia (two games) and Xerez (two games).
