Barcelona fly to Seville with Leo Messi in tow

The club are aiming to win their first trophy of the season at La Cartuja against Athletic

Barcelona have headed to Seville where they will face Athletic Bilbao in the Spanish Super Cup final at 9pm on Sunday at La Cartuja. They have travelled with a complete squad, including Lionel Messi, with only Gerard Pique and Philippe Coutinho not travelling because of injury. Several Barca B players have also travelled - Inaki Pena, Ilaix Moriba, Oscar Mingeuza and Konrad de la Fuente.

Ronald Koeman’s side are aiming to win their first trophy of the season. The last the club won was the 18-19 league with Ernesto Valverde as coach. 

The team will train on Saturday night at La Cartuja, and after the squad list will be officially published.

Sergio Busquets and Ronald Koeman will speak at 5.15pm.
