Barcelona flop Philippe Coutinho could return to Spain

Coutinho could return to La Liga. In a surprising move, COPE radio station reports that Real Betis have reportedly turned their attention to the Brazilian midfielder when everyone assumed he would be leaving for Al-Duhail in Qatar.

Some reports indicated that the player had already agreed a deal with the Qatari club and that it only remained for them to come to an agreement with Aston Villa, who are happy to part with the player.

Negotiations between the parties involved are still ongoing, but sources close to Qatar indicate that there is a serious intention to move forward and make this transfer a reality.

Barça are keeping a close eye on a possible sale of Coutinho because they would get a 'cut', as the Catalan club have reserved 50% of the capital gain from a future sale of the Brazilian. In principle, Aston Villa would sell him for around 20 million euros.

It remains to be seen what the Brazilian player decides, whether to try to recover good feelings in a more competitive league that he already knows or try a more relaxed adventure in the Qatari league, without so much pressure.

Coutinho is currently injured.
