Barcelona end eight game winless run away from their Camp Nou home

Their win at Getafe was their first away from home since April

After eight winless games away from Camp Nou, Barcelona picked up three very necessary points at Getafe on Saturday afternoon.

Luis Suarez and Junior Firpo were on target as the Blaugrana won 2-0 to win on the road for the first time this season.

They had drawn three and lost give of their previous eight away games. The win, their second in a week following success over Villarreal, also means they have won back-to-back games for the first time in six months.

The last time Ernesto Valverde's side managed to win two games in a row was in May, when they beat Levante 1-0 at Camp Nou and then Liverpool 3-0 at home in the Champions League.

Valverde will hope the wins over Villarreal and Getafe will start to calm the storm around his side following a disappointing start to the season.
