All clubs have lost money due to the pandemic but Barça still earn the most

Despite their well broadcasted financial problems, Barcelona are still the football club generating the most revenue in the world.

The latest Deloitte report places the Catalan club at the top of the table for the 2019-20 season, which was heavily affected by the coronavirus pandemic.

Barça generated 715.1 million euros, keeping them just ahead of Real Madrid, who brought in 714.9m. Champions League winners Bayern Munich completed the top three with 634m in revenue.

Manchester United (580m) and Liverpool (558m) completed the top five ahead of clubs like Manchester City, PSG, Chelsea, Tottenham and Juventus, who did make the top 10.

The study found that among the top 20 clubs, broadcasting revenue was down 937m and 260m was lost on matchday income with games being played behind closed doors.
