Barcelona defender Araujo: The Eibar goal was my fault

The Uruguayan's mistake allowed Kike Garcia in to open the scoring on Tuesday

Barcelona defender Ronald Araujo wanted to speak after Tuesday's 1-1 draw against Eibar to take responsibility for the goal conceded.

The Uruguayan told Movistar: "It's a shame not to get the three points because that was the important thing today. The goal we conceded was a f**k up by me which you cannot concede. We wanted the three points, especially at home, but we played well."

Going into more details about his mistake which led to Kike Garcia's goal, he added: "It was quick play that you have to play with two touches and I didn't see the forward was so close. Losing the ball there is very dangerous. It's true we took a lot of risks, it's our style, but we have to have confidence and pick ourselves up. We're Barça and we have to fight until the end."

For Araujo, Barça's problem is concentration: "We have to concentrate, we can't make mistakes like the one I made. I take responsibility. We have to work hard, there's no other way, be strong, and I am sure if we correct those details the results will come."

La Liga title gone?

The defender says the title has not gone: "Yes we can fight for the title. We're Barça and there's a long way to go still.

"Anything can happen in football and we have a team to win the league. It's a blow to draw because we wanted to win and getting points at home is always important."
