AS: Barcelona have deal in place to sign Carlos Soler for €20 million
The Valencia midfielder is out of contract in 2023 and of interest to Barça
Carlos Soler will be a Barcelona player this summer. That is according to Diario AS on Monday, who report there is an agreement to sign the midfielder for €20 million.
That would mean, the information continues, the sale of Frenkie de Jong, who president Joan Laporta wants to move on in the upcoming transfer market.
Barça hope to make around €70m on the Dutch international, who is wanted by Erik ten Hag at Manchester United. SPORT revealed a few days ago that the club were following Soler, who like his Valencia teammate Jose Luis Gaya is out of contract in 2023.
For now, there is no new deal for Soler, who would join Franck Kessie in strengthening a Barça midfield that also includes Busquets, Pedri, Gavi and Nico.
