Barcelona have made contact with Real Betis defender Marc Bartra, SPORT have learned.
The Catalan club have reached out to Bartra's camp to see what his current situation is at Betis, where he's played 124 official games following time with Barça and Borussia Dortmund.
New Barça coach Xavi Hernandez played alongside Bartra at Camp Nou and has good memories of him as a player.
Bartra, 30, has matured as a player in Sevilla and, with 18 months to run on his deal, his experience could benefit Barça's backline.
