Barcelona confirm defender Pique out of action with a calf strain
The centre-back got injured in Saturday's 1-1 draw with Basque side Alaves
Gerard Pique came off injured in the final 20 minutes of Barcelona's 1-1 draw at Camp Nou against Alaves in LaLiga on Saturday, with Clement Lenglet taking his place.
On Sunday, following tests, Barça have now confirmed the former Spain defender has a calf strain and is sidelined until further notice.
"Tests on first-team player Gerard Pique have confirmed a calf strain in his right leg," a statement said. "He's out and his evolution will mark his availability."
Pique, therefore, will definitely miss Tuesday's Champions League game vs. Dynamo Kiev and it's more than likely he will not feature again until after the international break.
