Barcelona break ticket sale records in Italy for Inter clash
Inter are making more money off this game than any Italian side in history
Inter Milan vs FC Barcelona, the fourth round of group stage matches if the Champions League, has made history before it’s even been played, by becoming the highest income match ever played in Italy.
"With more than 5.8 million euros, tomorrow's match will record the highest gate in history for an Italian team," reads a tweet published by the host club.
According to 'SportMediaset', more than 73,000 tickets have been sold - San Siro’s capacity is 80,000 - so a huge atmosphere is expected.
The previous record belonged to Roma, who had raised 5.2 million euros for the semi-final last season against Liverpool.
