Barcelona asking after Kingsley Coman loan deal
The Bayern winger would fit in well into Xavi's plans at Barça
Barcelona are hunting for a winger. Director of football Mateu Alemany says the club don’t have the ability to sign players at the moment but they have promised Xavi Hernandez they will do all they can to find someone who can play out wide and add goals.
One of the names on the list is Kinglsey Coman of Bayern Munich. The German club don’t want to loan him and will only talk about a sale, although their intention is to renew his deal. Coman would not mind coming to Barcelona.
The French international was on Barcelona’s radar last summer. They tried to loan him but Bayern said no. Cohan’s not getting the minutes he wants in Germany, having started just two league games. The coach does not believe in him. His contract is up in 2023 and he has a renewal offer on the table but he wants to walk away from Germany.
Coman is an explosive winger who has shown he can perform at the top level. He’s a French international and can make the difference. We’ll see if Barcelona go again to see if Bayern can be convinced to loan or if they wait until the summer to try and buy him instead.
