The club were surprised by Zidane and Butragueno's declarations

A Clasico usually has ramifications and yesterday was no different. As the hours have gone past since Barcelona's thrilling 2-2 draw with Real Madrid at Camp Nou, the Catalan club have grown more angry with the attitude of Real Madrid before, during and after the game, as they consider it an unsporting and incorrect attitude.

First of all, there was Zidane's statement about the guard of honour, calling Barça liars. They think he could have bit his tongue. Barça understand that the club are within their rights to not do any tribute if they don't want to, but they think Zidane's comments about it were far from elegant.

They also believe that leaking stories about Messi's protest to the referee at halftime to Madrid media gave a partisan version of events and broke with the protcocol of not talking about what happens inside dressing rooms.

Barça are also surprised by the words of Madrid's head of institutional relations Emilio Butragueno, who complained about the referee after the game without even being asked about him, which also broke the club's protocol of not talking about referees. The Blaugrana believe Butragueno's attitude contrasts with Guillermo Amor, who declined to talk about referee Hernandez Hernandez after the game, despite the fact Barça were unhappy with many of his decisions which they feel harmed their club..

Above al, the club think both of those episodes were completely unnecessary and don't help relations between the two clubs.
