The winger is keen to return to his homeland after two years away

He spent last season on loan at Premier League side Wolves

Wednesday's meeting between agent Jorge Mendes and the Barcelona hierarchy, including president Joan Laporta, served to talk about Francisco Trincao's future.

Reports in Portugal say Mendes and Barça worked on reducing the financial differences that currently exist between the Catalan club and Sporting Club, who are keen on loaning the winger.

Mendes is trying to get the deal done for his client. Sporting is a good option for Trincao, who spent last season on loan with Wolves but the Premier League side won't make the deal permanent.

The problem is Barça want to include an obligatory purchase fee of €20 million for next summer and also want 30% of any future transfer.

Sporting, though, are offering €15m and want the clause to make the deal permanent to be optional. Mendes is working on a middle ground and Wednesday's meeting helped.
