Barcelona and Getafe close to agreement over loan deal for Aleña
The young midfielder will move to the Madrid club on loan until the summer
Barcelona midfielder Carles Aleña is close to joining La Liga side Getafe on loan until the end of the season.
SPORT understands that the deal will be closed this week, with talks between the two clubs already at an advanced stage.
Aleña has hardly featured under coach Ronald Koeman, who has urged him to go out on loan to play regular football.
In total, he has made just two appearances in La Liga and three in the Champions League, with only one of them from the start, against Dynamo Kiev on Nov. 24.
No option to buy
Aleña is keen to go to Getafe despite interest from elsewhere and will join them until the summer but there will be no option to make the deal permanent.
It will be his second loan move away from the club after spending the last six months of last season with Real Betis.
