Barcelona 3-2 Celta Vigo: Lewandowski and Cancelo spark comeback

Robert Lewandowski pulled Barcelona out of the abyss and Joao Cancelo fired them top of La Liga.

Xavi Hernandez's side was struggling at home against Celta, who hit them time and again on the counter, and they seemed set to lose for the first time all season across all competitions.

But a stunning comeback from two down saw Barca overtake Girona and go top once more, at least before Real Madrid play on Sunday against Atletico at the Metropolitano.

Celta took the lead in the first half when Jorgen Strand Larsen fired past Marc-Andre ter Stegen after a corner was not fully cleared.

Barca's goalkeeper was busy, making some good saves as his team floundered in their search for an equaliser.

Frenkie de Jong went off for Gavi with a problem in the first half and the youngster gave everything to help pull Barca level.

Celta doubled their lead in the 76th minute when Tasos Douvikas finished from a nice Iago Aspas pass.

That seemed it for Barca's hopes but Lewandowski netted twice, once from a Joao Felix lobbed pass and then from Cancelo's cross, to pull the score back to an unlikely 2-2.

Cue Cancelo, finding the winner from Gavi's superb low cross.

"I was playing very badly but in the end you have to concentrate and play to the end and it was enough for the three points," said the Portuguese defender.
