INCIDENCIAS

Partido correspondiente a la jornada número 19 de LaLiga Santander disputado en el Camp Nou a puerta vacía a causa del Covid-19.

The first half was perhaps the best of the Ronald Koeman era - of the whole year, Jordi Alba said - but the second was one of the worst.

Marc-Andre ter Stegen’s fine goalkeeping ensured Barcelona kept their win over joint leaders Real Sociedad, the first they have managed after falling behind under their Dutch coach.

Willian Jose broke the deadlock in the first half from close range after a neat team move, but Alba levelled three minutes later with rare right-footed screamer, curled into the top right corner.

Frenkie de Jong sent Barcelona ahead two minutes before the break from Alba’s cross, with VAR cancelling out a mistaken offside call.

That was the good part. The bad followed, as Barcelona lost their way and fell under heavy pressure. Koeman’s subs didn’t help affairs and La Real nearly levelled through Alexander Isak, but Ter Stegen made a spectacular save.

Barca climb to fifth, now just six points off the pace.
