Madrid will meet Osasuna for the trophy in Seville next month

Karim Benzema scored a hat-trick as Real Madrid beat Barcelona 4-0 to advance to the Copa del Rey final.

Vinicius opened the scoring just before half-time before Benzema struck three times in the second half to set up a meeting with Osasuna next month.

Barça had come into the game with a 1-0 first leg lead and were the much better side in the first half.

However, Xavi's side didn't re-appear in the second half and were taken apart by a clinical Madrid side.

Despite missing four starters (Christensen, De Jong, Pedri and Dembele) Barça were the better side in the first half but they could not score

The closest they came was just before the break, when Coirtois saved from Lewandowski, but that only served to set up the Madrid opener.

The away side broke and Benzema squared for Vinicius, whose shot crept over the line.

Barca did not react after the break. Modric set up Benzema for the second and the Frenchman's second came from the penalty spot after Kessie fouled Vinicius.

Benzema completed the scoring late on as Madrid booked their place in their first Copa del Rey final since 2014.
