Barça's new signing Ludovit Reis will cost €3.25 million
Groningen have accepted an offer for their young midfielder, who will start with Barça B next season
FC Barcelona will pay Groningen €3,250,000 for their young midfielder Ludovit Reis. This was after certain reports suggested the fee would be around €7,000,000 but it is actually less than half of that.
The 18-year-old is expected to be part of Barça's preseason plans but will initially be part of Garcia Pimienta's Barça B side. Reis passed his medical on Wednesday and will be presented soon, although specific details of that presentation have yet to be confirmed.
The reason behind the delay in making the deal official was the fact Groningen were involved in a fight to land a European place. However they lost in the semi-finals last weekend.
Reis is a regular in the youth ranks in Dutch football. Last March he played for U19 side as they look to qualify for the upcoming international competition.
