After tying down Harry Kane, Tottenham want to renew the Dane

After handing Harry Kane a new deal until 2023, Tottenham now want to tie down other important parts of their team: English midfielder Dele Alli and Danish playmaker Christian Eriksen.

According to the English press, both players are close to signing new, improved contracts with the Premier League side.

It's for that reason that Barcelona will have to rush if they don't want to miss out on one of the players the club would most like to fill the void left by Andres Iniesta's departure.

The Daily Mirror revealed on Saturday that talks to hand Alli and Eriksen new deals are already advanced, though.

Spurs' objective is to move into their new stadium after the summer with all their star players still at the club as they target Premier League and Champions League success.

It's been a good start to the summer in that sense. Mauricio Pochettino renewed and is expected to stay at the club despite Real Madrid's interest and Kane has signed a new deal.

Renewing Eriksen has now become a priority. Barça, therefore, must be clever and quick if they want to sign the Danish international.

At first, he was an alternative to Antoine Griezmann, but everything suggested the club's interest doesn't necessarily depend on the arrival of the France forward.
