Barça and Tottenham enter final stretch of talks for Lenglet transfer
The French defender is expected to close a permanent transfer to the London club

Last week, an important step was taken with the advance of the contract that the player would have with Tottenham for the next three seasons and this week the two clubs are looking for a final agreement for the transfer of the player.
There is a difference of less than 5 million euros and everything indicates that there will be white smoke soon.
For Barça, it is important that Lenglet leaves the club for good in order to make a significant saving in terms of wages.
The French centre-back has a contract until 2026 after renewing and deferring various amounts due to the pandemic and the club could move on one of the highest earners in the current squad.
In fact, Tottenham have made a huge effort in terms of wages to bring the deal to fruition.
Tottenham's current offer is around 10 million euros, while Barça were demanding a minimum of 15 million euros. The English club have already warned on more than one occasion that they will not go any further because the player's salary is big and the accounts do not work out.
