Arsenal, Chelsea & Manchester United have all shown an interest in the defender

Barcelona are hopeful of bringing in good money for Samuel Umtiti this summer. The defender has recovered from a knee injury and there had been approaches before the coronavirus crisis. Everything indicated the Frenchman could leave the club.

Three Premier League sides had been in contact with Umtiti's agents and Barça had also contemplated including him in a renewed bid for Paris Saint-Germain's Neymar.

Barça were looking for a decent fee for the France international, although they now recognise it will be difficult to make the 50 million euros they had hoped to bring in for him.

So far, the clubs to show most interest are Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal, but there has not been an official offer from any of the English clubs.

They are all on the market for a left-sided centre-back and there aren't many options on the market. Umtiti could be the opportunity they're waiting for.

Umtiti has won his place back in the team under Quique Setien. The coach likes his ability on the ball but Barça, as a club, will back Clement Lenglet in the long-term and Umtiti will want regular football elsewhere.
