Barca will use strongest side against Real Sociedad
No rotation is planned by Ronald Koeman
There’s no respite. Barca will face Real Sociedad on Sunday night in San Sebastian with no margin of error.
Ronald Koeman, after Real Madrid’s victory in Vigo (3-1), needs his team to triumph and go above them again ahead of the international break.
Koeman will pick the strongest team he can again with no rotation planned. Bar any surprises he will go for the same XI he put out against PSG in France on March 10. Barca managed 20 shots that night.
For this test, Real Sociedad are fifth in the table, it will therefore be Ter Stegen between the sticks, and three centre backs ahead of him. Mingueza, Frenkie de Jong and Araujo, the latter replacing Lenglet.
Jordi Alba and Sergino Dest will be the wing backs, either side of Sergio Busquets and Pedri Gonzalez. Lionel Messi will be supported by Ousmane Dembele and Antoine Griezmann in attack.
The Argentine will today become the singular player with the most appearances for the club (768), ahead of Xavi, and if he scores two he will reach 700 goals (661 official, 37 in friendlies).
