Barca squad pass Covid tests after Leo Messi's barbecue
The Argentine hosted his team-mates after they beat Valencia at the weekend
Every player in Barcelona’s squad tested negative for Covid-19 ahead of training on Wednesday. After the barbecue they had at Lionel Messi’s house, the club wants to make sure everyone was clean ahead of their next Liga PCR test on Thursday.
The Argentine star called together all his team-mates for a feast to raise team spirit ahead of the Atletico clash at the weekend and also to celebrate the team’s Copa del Rey win.
Nearly everybody attended, many with their partners.
Barcelona trained on Wednesday apart from injured duo Philippe Coutinho and Ansu Fati. Leo Messi, Griezmann, De Jong and Mingueza go into the game with four yellow cards and are at risk of a ban.
After Atletico they visit Levante, host Celta and then face Eibar away, in the final games of the run-in.
