Barça sound out Cedric Bakambu as possible Aguero replacement

The striker has been a Barcelona target before and is a low-cost option

Cedric Bakambu has one again been linked with BArcelona. Diario AS says he's an option to replace Sergio Aguero, who's out for at least three months.

Bakambu has been followed by Barça for a long time and was close to joining the club when Eric Abidal was sporting director.

Luis Suarez got injured and Barça wanted him on loan. Bakambu was even flying towards Barcelona when the club pulled out of the deal.

Now the club are assessing the possibility again. The former Villarreal striker represents a market opportunity as he's available for free from Jan. 1.

The Beijing Sinobo Guoan frontman, therefore, would be a low-cost replacement for Aguero, although he is not the only option Barça are considering.

Another name in the frame is Edinson Cavani, who was also a target when Antoine Griezmann left for Atletico Madrid in the summer transfer window.
