Barca's secret plan for Antoine Griezmann if he can't leave
The French forward is one of the players Barca want to leave this summer
With a calculator in hand, Barcelona are working to reduce their wage bill. The club need to do so to register their new signings and Leo Messi and Antoine Griezmann is on the chopping block, along with Philippe Coutinho.
Barca’s priority is to get them out as they have huge salaries. The latter is willing to leave but Griezmann accepts leaving only if he can go to Atletico Madrid. There was talk of a trade with Saul Niguez but Atletico didn’t want to put more money on the table and the deal went south.
Barca have done their homework and the only way to keep Griezmann in the squad is to lower everyone else’s salary. In this way he could stay.
However Memphis Depay’s arrival is bad news for him, given he plays in the same position and is a player Ronald Koeman demanded.
Kun Aguero is also here and Ansu Fati is finding fitness. Griezmann no longer wold be an important player. Time is ticking and the solution has not been found.
