La cara de Messi lo dice todo: así abandonó Anfield / | @tjuanmarti

The players were destroyed by the beating they suffered at the hands of Liverpool

Lionel Messi left Anfield with a lost look. Ter Stegen, destroyed, arms down by his sides (see photo below). Barcelona arrived to the dressing room in deep sorrow. Inside, in the solitude of the room, it was pure desolation, a full-fledged funeral. Those who lived through it explained "I had never seen anything like it, a dressing room like that, with so much silence." The players were in a state of shock, unable to shake off the images they had been through at Anfield and the many mistakes they had made in searching for a reason they could not find. Rome also appeared in their minds.

It was a member of the technical staff who, in the changing room, proposed to talk a little to find explanations but his proposal was not greeted with a response. No one was speaking to anyone, beside them or in front of them, or the coach who proposed to address the problem, because there were too many questions to resolve, too much to talk about to get over in the short time before the start of the journey back. Barca did not raise their collective head and left the stadium in silence.

An incident occurred at  Liverpool airport, where a group of fans were waiting to criticise them for their attitude. Shouts and insults that reflected the indignation that the fans had suffered because they had just been through a historic embarrassment.
