Valverde has decided to give the first team players tomorrow off before they return to training on Friday
Barcelona's first team squad will have an extra day off this week as they get ready for the Spanish Super Cup final against Sevilla on Sunday.
There are only four days until Barça compete in their first official match of next season. On Tuesday morning, it was the first time Valverde could train with his full squad as he World Cup stars were finally added to those who started preseason back in early July.
On Wednesday, there was a double session and the only absentees were Arthur, because of a fever, and Yerry Mina and Marlon, because they're on the verge of leaving the club. Now Valverde has decided to give everyone in the first team the day off tomorrow before returning to work on Friday morning.
On Saturday the team will fly out to Tangier, Morocco, before taking on Sevilla in the Super Cup at 22:00 (CET) on Sunday evening. Valverde is expected to hold a press conference in Barcelona on Saturday where he'll reveal his starting XI.
