Barça players arrange a lunch to pay homage to Iniesta
The squad also made a video for the captain to show their appreciation
The final days of the season are proving emotional for Andres Iniesta. The Barcelona captain is receiving homages from all angles after announcing that he will leave Barcelona on May 20.
On Monday, he experienced perhaps the most emotional moment so far. After training at the Ciutat Esportiva, the player was surprised by his team-mates, who had arranged a lunch for him at La Masia.
The meal was to show their support and appreciation for the 16 years he has spent in Barça's first team, without counting the extra years he spent coming through the academy.
No one wanted to miss the occasion and all the players were present for the club captain.
During the lunch, Iniesta's teammates gave him a surprise. A video had been prepared looking back at his long and successful career at the club, with tears emerging during the 20 minute showcase of the video.
It was a lunch which Iniesta won't forget -- but there will be many more moments, too, in the coming weeks as a club legend says goodbye.
