Roberto is out of contract in the summer and has not agreed a renewal with Barça

Sergi Roberto looks increasingly likely to leave Barcelona when his contract expires in the summer and SPORT have learned that it's unlikely he will sign a renewal, which has alerted Atletico Madrid.

According to Goal, Atletico are monitoring Roberto's situation. They consider him a 'market opportunity,' but not a priority as they look to strengthen this summer.

Atletico are looking to improve at right-back following the departure of Kieran Trippier in January. Aston Villa's Matty Cash, Mallorca's Pablo Maffeo and Valencia's Thierry Correia have also been linked.

Barça are aware that Roberto wants to stay at the club and has still not committed to any other team as a result. However, early negotiations saw the two parties miles apart on any sort of agreement.

The 30-year-old is currently sidelined with an injury after undergoing surgery.
