PSG are in advanced talks with Real Madrid over a deal but Neymar would prefer a Camp Nou return

The only options for Neymar to leave PSG this summer are Barça and Real Madrid. The two clubs are pushing to secure a deal although one has a clear advantage over the other. PSG's poor relationship with Barça means they would prefer to sell the Brazilian to anyone but them. So far they've rejected every proposal from the Camp Nou which is in stark contrast to Madrid, who are in advanced talks to land Neymar this summer.

PSG were initially open to a loan deal with an obligation to make it permanent next summer for €180m. Barça and Neymar began planning his return but that all changed on Monday. The French club informed Barça that they now had a superior offer on the table.

That offer came from Real Madrid. Florentino Perez has enough cash available to finance a transfer this summer. They are willing to pay €120m and include a player, or players, to the value of €60m. PSG want Modric to improve their midfield and would then use the cash to land Dybala from Juventus.

There is still hope at Barça though. PSG would have already sold Neymar to Madrid if the player wasn't so keen on a move to the Camp Nou. Barça need the Brazilian to publicly state he wants a move to Barça but that appears unlikely. The offer on the table from Madrid is tempting as Barça struggle to agree terms on a permanent transfer with his current club. Everything should be resolved in the next few days one way or another.
