The midfielder was taken off in the first half of Thursday's game at Camp Nou

Pedri had to be withdrawn from FC Barcelona's Europa League game against Manchester United with an injury before half-time.

The midfielder went down in the 38th minute when making a back pass and was unable to continue after receiving treatment from the medical team.

He was replaced by Sergi Roberto, with Barça coach Xavi Hernandez opting to stick with four midfielders rather than bring on a third forward.

Once on the bench, Pedri discussed the injury with teammate and close friend Ferran Torres, who could have been another option to replace him.

Barça later said: "Pedri has a right thigh injury. Further tests pending to determine the exact extent of the injury."

If a significant injury is confirmed, Pedri will miss the second leg at Old Trafford on Thursday 23rd February.

Barça are already without Ousmane Dembele and Sergio Busquets, who are both currently sidelined with knocks.
