'Sun Sport' explains that the manager of the 'Bhoys', Neil Lennon, has actually been in France and watched Silas Wamangituka take on Valenciennes last Monday.

Aside from Celtic, both Fiorentina and Hamburg have sent scouts out to see Silas.

Liverpool and FC Barcelona can also be added to the list of interested parties. Both have requested reports on the young striker's progress in recent weeks.

two years left on his contract

Celtic are looking for a new striker next season as both Oliver Burke and Timothy Weah return to their parent clubs. Wamangituka joined París FC last summer after a single season with Ales (French 5th Division).

He still has two years left on his deal but the player's agent, Olivier Belesi, confirmed that Wamangituka had offers on the table to leave. "We're a team which works hard every day in order to keep him happy. We're here to to protect him from the sharks and the opportunists. A lot of people are speaking about him but that isn't important. There are some big clubs interested in him but we'll deal with that quietly, without any pressure."

Olivier Belesi added: "Silas has the potential and quality to keep progressing and that's why we won't make a mistake with the project we propose. We want Silas focused on the pitch. The kid is signed to Paris FC and they have helped his progression. We're focused on what's left of the season and getting the first team promoted. The rest? We'll look at all the available options and give our answer when the time is right."
