Barça are considering a move for a top left winger in summer window

Barcelona are clear that they need to shake up their attack for next season and only Robert Lewandowski and Ousmane Dembélé are certain to stay. The Blaugrana have put Ansu Fati, Raphinha and Ferrán Torres on the market and at least two of them will leave the club, although the aim is for all three. In this situation, the Catalan club are considering the signing of a top-class left winger, as Yannic Carrasco or Eze Abde could play a more secondary role.

Barça coach Xavi Hernández is clear that the team needs to boost its goalscoring ability. The team has been very reliable defensively, breaking all kinds of records, but they have struggled to score. Lewandowski has even reduced his effectiveness in 2023. For Xavi, the continuity of Dembélé, whose renewal is being negotiated, is unquestionable, but on the left flank he has had real problems.

At the moment, the club would welcome the departure of Ansu and there are offers that Barça would accept. Raphinha, with a market in England and with Chelsea and Newcastle bidding for him, is on the exit ramp and with Ferrán it will all depend on the loan offers he may have or if he can enter into an operation to reduce the cost of a signing. In any case, the three are not essential for the new project.

Barça will certainly bring back Abde and Carrasco will sign if they manage to reduce the option to buy that has been signed with Atlético, something quite feasible because the player only wants to leave for Camp Nou. Nevertheless, the club is sounding out the market to sign a top-level left winger and there have been some very interesting offers, although the economic viability of some of them is being assessed. There could be a major surprise in this position and they are working on it, although everything will depend on the new salary limit and what happens with Lionel Messi.
