Barça launch line of their own protective masks to combat Covid-19

FC Barcelona have launched a range of protective masks in the club's colours following the Spanish government's decision to make wearing masks in enclosed spaces mandatory. 

Barça have released three variations of the mask, which will be sold in a number of the club shops, which reopened on Monday, and online from Tuesday. 

The masks come in three different sizes and can be re-used 40 times, the club say, with each time equating to eight hours of usage. The masks will cost 18 euros (0.45 per use). 

"They are locally made in Mataró in Catalonia and use 100% ecological cotton and fulfil all health requirements and regulations," the club said. "It is a hygiene mask for everyday use that is reusable and its protection against the transmission of Covid-19 is guaranteed to up to 40 washes with a recommended use of eight hours between washes. 

"The first masks come in three different models with exclusives designs created in Barcelona and the club will extend the range with new designs depending on demand and public response with six or seven different models.

"Initially, they will be available in blue with blaugranes motifs, a model inspired by 'la senyera', the Catalan flag and another model inspired by drawings of the players. Each design is available in three different sizes, one for children between 3 and 6, one for children between 7 and 12 and a third size for adults.

"Masks bought on-line and at stores come with personalised packaging for each model. Delivery time for masks purchased on-line at the Barça Store Camp Nou is estimated at three to five days."
