The Barcelona president would be drawn on "dream" Guardiola return

Joan Laporta has been linked with a sensational move to bring Pep Guardiola back to Barcelona as coach but said that he would not talk about "dreams" on Friday.

Asked about a desire to appoint Pep for a second time, he said: "When we talk about Guardiola, the only thing in my head is that I hope he can win the Champions League this weekend.

"It would be amazing if, after winning it with us, he can win it with City. Hopefully, he can win it, because he's a good friend."

When pressed on if a return was possible, Laporta added: "I am not here to talk about dreams, I'm here to talk about realities."

Guardiola was Barca coach between 2008 and 2012 and has since worked at Bayern Munich and City, who he will lead into Saturday's Champions League final against Chelsea in Porto.

Laporta was the president who gave Pep the chance at Barça but he had been replaced by Sandro Rosell by the time the Catalan coach walked away four years later.
