The forward was with Spain in the summer but has cut his holiday time short
Barcelona's 2022-23 season is underway. A large part of the squad were due at the training ground at 9am in the morning for the annual medical tests. The first training session is schedule for 7pm.
At around 8am, players began to arrive. The first was Francisco Trincao, who returns to Barcelona following a season on loan at Wolverhampton Wanderers. The Portugal winger will begin preseason with Barça but his future is unknown. The club are working on various scenarios, but the most likely is a loan to Sporting Club de Lisbon with an option to buy.
Other players to arrive for Monday's first day back at work included Marc-Andre Ter Stegen, Arnau Tenas, Pedri, Nico, Alex Collado, Sergi Roberto and Ansu Fati.

Neto, Oscar Mingueza, Clement Lenglet, Samuel Umtiti and Moussa Wague are other players in the same situation.
Neto was also present, like Puig, although it remains to be seen if they will also take part in the training session later in the day.
The last to arrive was Sergiño Dest, who after the departure of Dani Alves seems likely to stay. New signing Pablo Torre was also present.
Thr full list of players present was: Ter Stegen, Neto, Arnau Tenas, Peña, Piqué, Dest, Sergi Roberto, Pjanic, Pablo Torre, Nico, Riqui Puig, Pedri, Collado, Abde, Ansu Fati and Aubameyang.
