Barca's Junior Firpo an option to replace Dalot at AC Milan
The left back has not found a home at Camp Nou under Koeman
Junior Firpo’s future seems further away from Barcelona after it was confirmed that Ronald Koeman will be staying at the club another year.
The former Real Betis defender, who has had very little protagonism this season, is looking for an escape route. In Italy on Friday they say that option is AC Milan.
La Gazzetta dello Sport report that Junior’s representatives and the Italian side have a good feeling from informal conversations in the past few days. Milan had Diogo Dalot on loan this season but Man United will have him back. Now they need a new alternative for Theo. That’s where Junior comes in.
The problem is to do with the formula and economics of the deal. The player’s salary is high and Milan are not willing to pay it. Barca want a transfer, AC want a loan. We’ll see if they can find a deal. Various Premier League sides are also interested.
