Barcelona have decided to join the fight for Israeli midfielder Oscar Gloukh, one of the most promising players out there. The reports the club have got have been good and they have given the green light to take on the deal in June.
Gloukh, of Maccabi Tel Aviv, has been followed by Barca staff last season and has a big future ahead of him. Jordi Cruyff is his main supporter, someone who spent years as a sporting director and coach at Maccabi.
The talented player drew attention during the U19 Euros and was rated as one of the pearls of the tournament. Various clubs like Monaco and Dortmund have started taking a look at him, but Barca's arrival has stopped them in their tracks.
The Catalans have a good relation with Maccabi and that will make things easier. His people want a plan for his sporting future. It's not a question of money, but of him getting chances in the first team.
