Malcom suffered a scare in training on Monday. The Brazilian sprained his ankle during a relaxed session but will only be out for one week, Barcelona have confirmed.
It's bad luck for the forward given this week was a good chance for him to work with Ernesto Valverde and show the coach why he deserves a chance.
He's one of several players remaining in Barcelona during the international break and it was a big opportunity to earn a spot in the team when domestic football resumes.
Malcom, who joined Barça from Bordeaux this summer, has only played six minutes in La Liga so far, last week in the win over Real Valladolid.
