Barça forward Dembele back in Catalonia to start his recovery
Dembele underwent surgery in Finland with a specialist on Tuesday
Ousmane is unlikely to play again for Barça until the New Year
Barcelona forward Ousmane Dembele returned to the Catalan city from Finland on Wednesday after a successful operation on a ruptured tendon in his left leg.
'LaTdP' uploaded a photograph to their Twitter account of Dembele in the hospital where he underwent surgery. Ousmane was operated on by specialist Sakari Orava and one of the members of his team, doctor Lasse Lampainen, while Barça doctor Ricard Pruna supervised.
Dembele arrived at El Prat in a wheelchair on Monday but returned on Wednesday with crutches, so as not to put any pressure on the injured leg in the coming days.
The club say Dembele will be out for three-and-a-half months and he is now back in Barcelona to begin his recuperation.
