The green light would allow Barça to register contracts and make signings

Following the meeting of LaLiga's board of directors on Friday, the league will officially inform FC Barcelona on Monday of the approval of the economic viability plan presented. As part of this roadmap, the Blaugrana detail how they will obtain 200 million euros in two years between the reduction of expenses and income.

LaLiga have studied the plan and will give the 'ok': actions such as the announcement of the closure of Barça TV have motivated the league to give Barça the green light. An essential step for the club to be able to face the upcoming transfer window with guarantees.

However, as the economic vice-president of the club, Eduard Romeu, has reiterated, the absolute priority is to register all the renewed contracts first, something that can be done practically automatically. We are referring to the cases of Ronald Araujo, Marcos Alonso, Sergi Roberto, Gavi and Iñaki Peña; in addition to Alejandro Balde, who is about to close his renewal until 2027.

On the other hand, the approval by LaLiga will also mean that Barça will return to the 1/1 rule to be able to incorporate new players in the transfer market, as would be the case of Leo Messi, and leave behind the 40% rule to which they were subject.

In other words, previously, for every 100 million euros that Barça earned in transfers and salary savings, they could invest 40 in new salaries and in acquiring new players. Now both amounts will be equal.
