Jordi Mestre says the club are always working on the transfer market

More players are likely to leave after Turan's exit was confirmed

Barcelona vice-president Jordi Mestre accompanied Yerry Mina during the player's presentation on Saturday.

During the press conference section of the presentation, Mestre was asked if the club will make any more transfer in January following the arrivals of Mina and Philippe Coutinho.

"The club are always on top of the market and working hard in both senses [incomings and outgoings], but we do so with discretion," he said. "If there is any movement, we will communicate as such."

With those words, Mestre didn't close the door to more signings this month or to more players leaving, following Arda Turan's departure on Saturday.

In fact, the vice-president also explained that Istanbul Basaksehir will pay all of the Turkish player's wages during his two-and-a-half year loan there.

Asked if there was "alarm" about the increasing wage bill and the need to move players on, Mestre said there was not.

"There's no alarm," he added. "I said it the other day. The club -- the executives, led by CEO Oscar Grau, and the directors are on top of this. If we do deals, it's because we know we're capable of doing them."
