Barcelona defender Samuel Umtiti starts to run again
The French defender has been out since September with a knee injury
Samuel Umtiti can see the light at the end of the tunnel, although he is not yet ready to make his first team comeback.
The French defender has been out for a pain in his knee since September, according to a statement made by Barcelona almost a month ago. However, various sources have suggested the injury could be more serious.
Umtiti, though, is still doing recovery work and on Tuesday began to run at the Ciudad Deportiva Joan Gamper in the sand pit.
However, it's not clear when he will be back. Barça have not given a date for when he will be available for selection again, merely saying it will depend on the evolution of the injury.
In the meantime, Barça, who are also without Thomas Vermaelen, have to use the Pique-Lenglet pairing, with Barça B's Chumi currently with the first team, too.
