Pique has retired from international football but could be tempted by the Games

Barcelona defender Gerard Pique has not ruled out taking part in the Olympic Games next summer in Tokyo, despite having retired from international football.

In an interview on El Larguero on Cadena Ser on Wednesday, he was asked if, as Sergio Ramos had been before him, he would like to take part in the Olympics in 2020 in Japan.

Pique did not close the door on the possibility: "You never know, you can never rule anything out in life. I wouldn't like to close the door on anything."

Ramos has said that he would like to play at the Olympics if he gets the chance, while Spain U21 coach, who will manage the team, is also not ruling anything out.

The Olympics are for U23 teams but each country can choose three overage players. Pique did not confirm if he has spoken with Ramos about it.
