Barca make first Dani Parejo offer in pivot search

Dani Parejo could be the replacement for Sergio Busquets in the pivot position at FC Barcelona. According to 'Jijantes', the Catalan giants have already made him a first contract offer of one season plus an optional one, although the player would prefer to have two years guaranteed. Parejo has a contract with Villarreal until June 2024, but he would have a more or less affordable release clause if Barça decided to take a chance on him.

According to the information, Dani Parejo has become part of the club's thoughts after Brozovic came closer and closer to accepting the proposal from Saudi Arabia. As soon as Saudi Arabian football makes the signing of the Croatian pivot official, Barça will speed up the process to try and convince the Villarreal midfielder.

It is not the first time that Parejo has been mentioned by Barça. When he was at Valencia, his name was also in the club's shortlist to reinforce the midfield. At 34 years of age, now could be the time to bring him to Camp Nou.

Dani Parejo has shown in his years at Villarreal his enormous potential. He has a style of play that fits perfectly with what Xavi Hernandez is looking for in a pivot and he still has a couple of good seasons left in him at a high level.
